I've Been Very Busy!

Sunday was my 8 month birthday and I celebrated it with mommy, daddy, and their friends. We watched the football games and I was cheering for the Packers in my pink Packers gear! I'm still working on crawling, although I can scoot now and I can move myself backwards and in circles. I'm still waiting for another tooth to come in. Mommy says she can feel it right under the skin but it just hasn't broken through yet.

I have learned how to give kisses and mommy loves it! She's always trying to get me to give her kisses. I like to give open mouthed wet slobbery kisses! Another new thing I have started doing is growling. I'm not sure why I do it, but mommy thinks maybe I'm just testing out the different sounds I can make with my voice.

This is a picture of me riding on daddy's shoulders. I love doing this! Daddy gallops around the room with me on his shoulders and I laugh a lot! When he stops, I pull on his hair and kick my legs to get him to go again.

Prunes! Yuck!
I am becoming a very good eater and have moved to the next level of solid foods. My favorites right now are sweet potatoes, carrots, apples, pears, bananas, peaches, and apple strawberry. I also eat oatmeal with my fruits and vegetables and it's okay. Peas and green beans make me gag and I'm not a big fan of prunes as you can see from the picture. More of the prunes ended up on me than they did in me! Tonight I was given my first taste of strained meats. I had apple chicken and it wasn't too bad. I am also learning how to use a sippy cup and tonight I figured out how to suck on the sippy cup to get the water out. Mommy had to hold it for me while I drank out of it, but I'm getting the hang of it.
