Sunday February 17 was my Baptism. Both sets of grandparents came in town as did my aunts. I didn't really mind too much having the water poured over my head since I love baths. I think the priest standing over top of me freaked me out more. After the Baptism, mommy and daddy had a party for me in the party room of our building. Lots of mommy and daddy's friends came and my friend Claire as well. I was glad to get to spend time with my aunts and grandparents.
Wednesday February 20 was my 9 month birthday! I now have two of my bottom teeth and now there is one trying to come in on the top. I'm still working on crawling. I go backwards and in circles, but not forward yet. I've also gotten really good at going from sitting up to laying on my stomach.
I went to the doctor last Thursday for my nine month checkup. The doctor said everything looks great but she wants me to fatten up a little bit since I only weight 14.5 pounds. So mommy and daddy have been feeding me mashed potatoes everyday for lunch which I seem to like. They've also tried giving me eggs, toast, pancakes, cheerios, and cheese. I don't really know what to think of these things yet. They're a lot of fun to play with and I make a big mess with them but I haven't quite figured out that I'm supposed to eat these things.
I also started say "ma ma" which makes mommy happy since I've been saying "da da" for awhile now. I'm starting to recognize my name and I think I'm beginning to figure out which one is ma ma and which one is da da. I've also started giving kisses and for some reason everyone laughs at me when I give the baby in the mirror kisses!
